Tattoo Shops Finding a good one
by Steven McCarthy
Tattoo shops are opening everywhere. The interest in body art has been rising steadily for the last twenty years. All shops are not equal, and you had better find out as much as you can before you put your skin on the line.
But there is a definite difference between just any shop and a truly great shop. This is defiantly one decision that you do not want to go with the lowest price available. It more than pays to be well informed and know the difference between the many types of shops.
The really great tattoo parlors follow a strict set of guidelines regulating their sanitary conditions. All blood born pathogens and instruments must be disposed of properly as required by the U.S. Department of Health. The owners of tattoo shops are responsible for making sure each tattoo station is kept in a sanitary condition. Each artist should display their up to date licenses in a prominent spot.
Appointments are needed for the best shops because of their high quality workmanship and original designs by true artist’s who create their own one of a kind designs you can’t find anywhere else. Sure the ink in a better class place is more expensive, but you won’t see your tatt on half the people you run into either.
Another great suggestion when looking for a good place to get your tattoos and piercing’s is to do a online search to check if there have been any lawsuits filed against the tattoo shop or artist. When tattoo parlors start getting lazy their customers health is at risk and lawsuits begin. Not to long ago there was a lawsuit against a shop owner where a customer was infected with a flesh eating bacterium by the use of unsanitary supplies and practices.
The second thing to decide is the location upon which the tattoo art will go. Tattoo shops can attest to the fact that there are some places on the body that are more sensitive than others. Some areas that are common for sporting tattoo designs are the lower back above the tail bone, the ankle or the arms. Many people decide that a back tattoo is the way for them due to the larger amount of muscle mass. The more muscle mass in the location can often translate into less pain and sensitivity.
